Well, we had a great weekend. My middle son had his 7th birthday and the party was a complete hit. It was at the local park and was the cheapest party that I believe we have ever thrown in the history of my children's birthday parties. That just goes to show that you don't have to spend a lot of money for them to have a blast. We could not get the kids to leave. It was after 8pm before we started rapping things up. They played sssooo hard. He had more fun this year than ever. Here';s the catch...he got a fish from one of our friends. Well, when they brought the fish, they got it all ready ( in the car) and put it into the little aqaurium so that he could see it when they walked up. Sounds good so far doesn't it. NOT!!!! They didn't realize that BETA fish do not thrive well in distilled water and the once BLUE fish was ashy gray this AM. Not a pleasant morning I assure you. So, off my mom and I went this AM to PETCO and God made sure that this awesome young man gave me a QUICK schooling in the care and treatment of this new family member. Now, it is noon and as I type, he has a new Pirate fish center (not a bowl) and a Nemo toy with a treasure chest, a new plant and some starfish to keep him occupied. He loves his new home in the RIGHT water and I am sure that Jacob will enjoy watching him as he plays on the computer in the afternoons.
